Linda Heuman is an essayist and journalist and
a Contributing Editor at Tricycle magazine. She has studied
and practiced Buddhism in Asia and America over two decades and
now writes about the transmission of Buddhism to the West. She
also covers academia and is a former Contributing Editor at Brown
Alumni Magazine. Her writing bridges traditional divides:
between Buddhist philosophy and Western philosophy; between scholars
of religion and religious practitioners; and between academic
specialists and general audiences. Her articles, essays, and
reviews have also appeared in Penguin's Best Spiritual Writing,
Buddhadharma, Stanford Magazine, Plenty,
and The Industry Standard. She is based in Providence,
Rhode Island. |
